Ice, Ice, Baby...
Why is no one else's look like this?
I keep calling people and say freezing rain, and they keep telling me it's just rain. Am I crazy? Not!

Day two of lock hook project
One floral fabric, designer yarn, and tools.
The outside is whip-stiched and the little pieces are my 'markers' for the fabric rows
My first row. I'm picking a really easy first project as I learn this new hobby. I am enjoying the heck out of it. I started the whip stitching yesterday at work, finished it at Lexie's counseling appointment, and started my first row at lunch today.
Near miss
Last week, I stayed home with Lexie recovering from tonsillectomy. Her voice is so funny now, I haven’t gotten used to it. It’s supposed to get back to normal soon. I made a huge mistake last week. The medicine routine for Lexie involves a cup of water or milk after a swallow of medicine; helps the medicine go down. So, one morning I gave her 1 ½ teaspoon of Amoxicillin, she drank milk from her cup and said she didn’t want anymore. I walked the cup into the kitchen, and without giving it a second thought, drank the rest of the milk. I happen to be allergic to penicillin and the tiny amount left on the rim of her cup from her mouth put me into mild anaphylactic shock. That was a fun morning.

Are we ready to rumble!
Super nurses too.
Squintchy smile.
As she tries out the hospital gown and bed.
No more tonsils
What's missing here?
I still have my frog
In the lobby waiting for Grammy to bring the car around.

Bubble dog, and numbers
I'm rather fond of the shot.
Lexie went to town with my tape calculator.
Tortoise Time
There she is!
Wow, I really don't like our kitchen floor, but she does.

MASSIVE INERTIA
I think about blogging every day. Operative word, "THINK". OK, so at break today, I shall overcome the inertia and do a blog entry! It's not like nothing is going on, it's been exciting and great.
Lexie had a Christmas party at school that I went to, fun.
The results of Lexie's sleep study came back and she has mild to moderate sleep apnea. She has an appointment on the ninth to an ENT for evaluation for possible adnoid-tonsillectomy.
We missed her first swim lesson of the winter session last night because it's half hour earlier, and I miss judged driving time on a school day.
I guess some of the biggest news of all is our new Russian Tortoise, Crystal. She a real beauty and we love her. Even a tortoise can be cuddly.
I'll be posting pictures, tons, soon.
