Schools out for summer....

Almost the end of June. My goodness. How time does fly. July looks to be pretty busy at work. On the sixth, a new auditor starts who will need training. Then around the 15th we will be beta testing the next version of our billing software, which has quite a few changes. As a finally, I was hoping to be able to take one or two days off around the 29th to go camping.

Last night I sprayed six or seven wasp nests that are being constructed on our eaves. That spray comes out of the can with a force akin to a fire hose, and the chemical reakes of fuel. Fun stuff.

Word(s) of the day: EMONA AETERNUM

Lexie log:
Today would have been Lexie's last school day until August, but she refused to go. I so, so, so much remember growing up the incredible inertia factor. I never wanted to do anything until I was already doing it. Same with Lexie. She doesn't want to get up, get ready, or leave the house, but once she's at school, she has a blast. I feel so bad for Daddy who has to put up with the attitude and then he feels guilty that she doesn't go.

Today I'm grateful for Frank and Lexie, Mom and Dad, Gramma Betty, iPod, the new 24-hour fitness, weekends, and life

If I can't have you, I don't want nobody baby....

Whew. It's warm enough here. Yesterday the office temperature was between 80 and 85 all day. Makes for a quiet office, nobody want to expel hot air or energy. Thank God Frank was able to fix the air conditioner at home. Yesterday was stressful for me. I had a little panic attack at work, combination of emotions, lack of breakfast, heat, stress, etc. But now I am back in the saddle. Thank goodness, because this morning I came into work and immediately could tell that one gal was unhappy. I got upstairs to my desk where someone else was waiting for me and she cried for a while with imagined fears . Then I logged on to email and discovered the reason for the first gal's attitude, so... off to unruffle the feathers of this one. It's break time and I'm ready for it already.

Word(s) of the day: HOPE

Lexie log: We got her a bicycle this weekend. It's a really nice one with training wheels. I can't wait for her to try it out. We got it for $15.00 at a garage sale.

She started her first swim class of the summer session on Sunday. There is only one other girl listed in her class, and she wasn't there so Lexie had the instructor all to herself. This is a good and bad thing. When she is alone in class she tends to goof off more and stop listening. At least she still had fun. Teacher AJ is having an allergic reaction to the pool chemicals and we miss him very much. He still works there, and I've been told still does a class or two, but we haven't seen him in the pool for quite some time. He talks with Lexie after swim though. Her new teacher is Danette, and she seems great too.

Lexie also played over at Lucas house Sunday afternoon. She is so infatuated with him. When I tried to get her in the car, she just kept screaming, "I want Lukie! I want Lukie!" and crying at the top of her lungs.

Grammy came over yesterday and spent time with Lexie all evening while Daddy and I took Thumper to his doggie class. She sure does enjoy her Monday visits...So do I (Sorry Grammy for booting you out when we got home). The swim suit we got her Sunday was too small, so Grammy got her a nice new green swim suit.

Today I'm greatful for Frank and Lexie, Mom and Dad, air conditioning, weekends, yards, water, and life.

Secret agent man, they've given you a number, and taken away your name.

Okay, this morning my cube mates had a discussion about pet death by negligence that sent me out of the cube.

Another great weekend. Saturday we went to the river in the RV. Sunday was swim and dinner with Dad and Mom for Father's Day.

Word(s) of the day: MELON

Lexie log: She is such a ham. I swear she had her swim instructors laughing, about what I have no idea since I was in the observation lobby. Then, at dinner, she got a reaction to something she said that she liked, and she wouldn't stop saying it. She's a silly silly girl. It was adorable to watch her tell Grammy and Grandpa about her Power Puff Girl experience. She watched an episode that terrified her, and now she will never watch them again.

She made Daddy and Grandpa each a card with stickers for Father's Day.

Today I'm grateful for Frank and Lexie, Mom and Dad, weekends, and life.

East bound and down, loaded up and truckin', we're gonna do what they say can't be done...

Why on earth is that song stuck in my head? Who knows.

I just got out of my annual review. Not to shabby.

We got a graduation anouncement for my cousin Skylar in the mail. Congratulations! It's an awesome announcement and it's going in my scrap book. Sometimes I really wish our family was closer together or we had the resources to stay in touch better. Some maternal element inside me definitely exploded and I just really wish Lexie could get to know her relatives better. As it is, she is super tight with her grandparents, and her aunt Patty, and cousins Johnny, and Amy, second cousins Gavin and Marissa. I know we would be closer with Jason, Maggie and Kiera, if they weren't hundreds of miles away.

Word(s) of the day: POOGLE

Lexie log: She had her second school day yesterday. For some reason it tickled me to know end to see marker stains on her hand from school. She is still not so good at recounting her daily activities, I can't wait till she can do that. She basically says yes to everything you ask her. Tuesday, we asked her what she learned in school, she first said she learned to cut. I asked her with scissors, and she said yes. I asked with an axe, and she said yes again. Then I asked her if she learned physics in school, and she replied yes as well. The next time we asked her what she learned in school, it definitely sounded more like she said she had learned to cuss. Interesting curiculum these modern pre-schools have.

Today I'm grateful for Frank and Lexie, Mom and Dad, weekends, coffee, purple, green, blue, wind, rain jackets, headphones, and Audible books.

Sky rocket in flight...Afternoon delight

I can't wait to go home. I have an enormous headache in my right eye. It's making it difficult to concentrate.

Frank has been working everyday in the yard and it is really starting to become quite nice out there. I made it to Value Village for the first time since I've worked hear four years. I got a purse, a shirt, a teddy-bear, and a table cloth all for 6.97. I put the table cloth on the outside table, it's nice looking.

Word(s) of the day: OPA!

Lexie log: She started school yesterday. It sure wore her out. She slept from the moment she got home until six. Whew. She did like it though. I called her teacher to find out their policy on discipline, and she called me back this morning. She says they don't even give time outs, simply speak with the child. She also did mention that Lexie's hair was in her face all day, and I told her I would put hair things in her back pack.

Today I'm grateful for Frank and Lexie, Mom and Dad, weekends, naps, calm, relax, love, water, happiness, and life.

One! Singular sensation...

I am just having a heck of a time getting this darned blogger to work with me. This is the second post I'm trying to publish today, and if this one fails...forget it! I miss my Word blog editor, and wish I could get it to work. Needless to say, I'm not going to type a whole lot because it is incredibly painful to type a lot and have it disapear into the void. And I can never copy-paste into this darned thing.

Frank fixed the AC this weekend. Hurrah!!!!

He also has made the RV look like brand new. It's twenty times cleaner than our house. We'll miss it when it's gone. We like being able to go out there and sit every once in a while. Also, it's neat to pretend we can journey out to Detroit Lake for an evening, any time we want. Frank almost talked me into it this weekend, and if it hadn't been a rent plus car payment paycheck, we might have. But...we spent enough last trip, so we're scraping by. We did stock up on staples, such as rain gear, though.

Word(s) of the day: HOPEFUL OPTIMISM

Lexie log: We just love that she calls the RV the Truck-house. She is doing great in swim, she learned to do some water safety rescue techniques yesterday. Saturday we had a blast at the river and with Aunt Patty and Gramma Betty.

Today I'm grateful for Frank and Lexie, Mom and Dad, weekends, RVs, camping, warm weather, rain, water, and life.

Here we go 'round the mulberry bush, so early in the morning...

Another short blog. Month end is going to go slower this month, there seems to be no way to get around it. We are still short an auditor, and the newest coder is not up to speed yet. I keep having coughing fits that drive me to distraction, even with the medication the doctor gave me. Ohhh and the sinus pressure! I can't wait for this one to go away. It came in with a bang, had me in tears, and it just won't go away. I just finished my last Azithromycin and I want to be done with this. My sleeping at night is minimal, and now Frank's throat is causing him so much pain in the morning he doesn't want to talk. What a mess. Can't wait for this to calm down. We're still trying to figure out if I have Whooping cough or not. The Dr. said it, but now I'm starting to think he just was being on the safe side.

Word(s) of the day: PRETZEL

Lexie log: We just got a CD of pictures from Michelle and Mike from the camping trip. Thanks you guys! We haven't been able to look at them yet, but I will post some of them soon. We didn't take too many pictures, pretty much all of them are already posted. I think I left out about six or seven. Unusual for us to take so few. I can't wait to watch the video we shot with Kayla's rendition of Blaire Witch Project. It was sooo hysterical. I will burn a copy for Michelle and Mike and also for Kayla's family and send it down to them. Lexie had such a blast, even though she was sick. -- She's started to draw real figures instead of lines, circles, and squiggles. Daddy saved me a picture she drew on a magnetic sketch pad where she had flowers with stems and tops and all. She getting the absolute basics of animals, with legs, bodies, heads, tails, etc. It's amazing, it just happened over night. It is truly the most black and white transition I have experienced with her. -- We spent time at Gramma Betty's and the river this weekend. Got Thumper a new gentle leader harness and it seems to be working magically. No more pulling. -- Lexie has a Dr. appointment tomorrow to hopefully remove the plantars she has on one of her feet. Poor girl. Thankfully she loves going to the doctors. We just took her Friday to make sure tha
