Lexie's new design

Lexie came up with a new tactic for eeking toys from Momma. We're in the car yesterday on the way home from Dr. Miller's office, and she's talking about her dragon, who she just finished discussing with Dr. Miller. They discussed the dragon's "serious cold" and that she should bring him in next time. So, we're in the car, and she says to me that we are going to have a birthday party for Dragon. She talks about it a bit, then we discuss something else. About ten minutes later, she tells me that she thinks dragon would really like a pet. Then she asks if we can get dragon a petshop pet for his birthday party. Hmmm.....

Today is Sunday!

The 23rd, I think? Lex and I have a weekend morning routine of tickles and laughs when we wake up, then some play with the Griff. Right now, it's almost one in the afternoon, we've had lunch and we'll be taking a nap soon (Oh Sunday naps!). Then we've changed up on our plans and will go take a peek at the new pool at the Shute Park Aquatic Center. Hope we like it!

Sam, Griff, Lexie, and Alex sit in the vinca.
Princess with shoes, goes to the rocks.
A dress full of rocks, equals a happy princess.

Huh? The aftermath of Lex, Alex, and Sam playing in the court. Strange!

Timberline Lodge! I love Lexie weekends!

What a week, or two! Server crashes, PDC has no BDC! Thank God for backups. Ryan, the new Network tech and I spent the last two and a half weeks recovering from a catastrophic hard drive failure. Phew! Re-establishing a new network from a new domain. Salvaging user profiles from a non-existing domain via cached domain memories. Glad to be finally done with all this, for the most part, Lexie and I have a great Saturday. On the way to school Thursday we admired the sunrise over Mt. Hood, and decided we would go there this weekend. We tried to go to Ski Bowl East and do the Alpine slide et. al., but it was already closed. So we headed up to Timberline. Picutres below. Tomorrow we will go out to the water park at Conestoga.

I think I see cloud number nine off in the distance. Lexie and I arrive at Timberline Lodge.
The lower floor of the lodge, the older fireplace that skiiers used to dry off and warm up by.
BIZARRE!!!!!!!

Time for a hike.

Lexie on Hood!
She thought that it was beautiful, so do I. Hardly any snow though, and the ski lifts were down due to wind.
Nice...

Snow??

To the top?

Lexie got it in her head that she wanted to climb to the peak!
I pointed out the clouds BELOW us and said it would take hours, if not days.
She thought about it and argued.
Then, reluctantly, she gave in and agreed that lunch at the lodge would be ok. Lexie has found her treasures. The tip of a bullet even? And is now hungry as I am. Back to put Griff in the Pathfinder and grab some grub.

Hiking back down.

Down one of the trails back to the lodge.
It is a nice place.
Griffen says howdy to another mountain dog.

Scenic shots.

Flower much prettier in real life. Not sure what it is.
Ski lift, clouds, and Mt. Jackson.

Off to the game room. Lexie and I played one game of ping pong lenghtwise on the table, but had much more fun playing ping pong junior across the table. Fun.
Lexie got tired of Mommy trying to get a timer shot of the two of us, and initiated a photo strike.
We did have fun at ping pong though!
We also did table shuffle board. I scored a one, Lexie a four. With one puck, she got right to the edge without going over!

Time for lunch!

Lexie bounds up the awesome and heavily laqured (sp?) stairs to the hot chocolate and lunch. Beautiful carvings abound. This lodge is terrific!
Lexie and I wait for lunch, with "Sugar Pop" her dragon.
Lexie "Three Straws" is very very satisfied with Timberline's hot chocolate.

Almost done.

Super great place to eat. Lexie had the infamous Timberline Hot Chocolate (at $4.50 it ought to be!) which she loved and burned her tongue (she says it's the first time ever) with.
redruM? One of the many hotel corridors. As we sneaked peeks in the rooms that were being serviced, I told Lex that a movie, The Shining, had been filmed in the hotel. I seriously kept having thought of Jack Nichols bopping about as we toured. Oh well, all work and no play makes Jack a dull boy?
The view from the first floor. I'm sitting on a comfy couch by one of the gigantious fireplaces.
Lexie and her leftovers, are ready to go home.
