My my...

Last Friday we had a catastrophic crash, raid drives four and five failed.  It has been an amazing three days of scrambling and stress.  Thank heavens to the backups, but we really need a better disaster recovery plan.  I truly feel for "the new guy".  Ryan started less than two weeks ago and walked into this.

Awesome camping trip.  We tried to make it to Champoeg, but they were full.  We were so dissapointed, but then Mom suggested another spot.  It was even better.  Griff got to run off leash, swim in a creek, meet cows. play with us, walk with us, ran himself out.  Lexie and I went on a frog search, read stories, hiked around, collected bugs, swung on a bench swing(which to my amusement she suggested, "Let's steal it!"), we feed cows, saw quails, watched a movie, laughed, ran, played, and generally had a blast!

Lexie started her next swim session.  She's graduated to Water Safety II and now swims the length of the pool instead of the width.  In her prior classes, she and other classes all 5yr and younger did lessons the width of the pool, two infant/parent classes and her class.  Now they put in the lane divider ropes and have her class, then next to it a couple of beginning stroke classes.  It's cool to see her swim and roll over all down the length, and dive for rings.

I got to sign my first field trip permission slip.  Lexie went on her very first field trip today.  Her class went to a frisbee golf course in Hillsboro.  I can't wait to hear how it went.

Great camping pictures!! You have quite a eye for photography. Looks like you and Lexie and Griff had a great time. Blake and Ms. Amy said the kids had a great time on their field trip. I am so thankful for Ms. Amy. Blake has learned so much.
