You never count your money while your sittin at the table, there'll be time enough for countin' when the dealin's done...

Last day before coming back to Portland. We had one minor set back. Lost reverse and transmission trouble on the way out of Anchorage last Friday, so we never made it to Denali, but we have proabably had more fun, and enjoyed more activities because of it. Tunnel to Whittier and six hour boat trip to glaciers through Prince William sound. All you can eat prime rib and Salmon buffet on the boat, with Bald Eagles, rafts of Sea Otters, and too much more to describe in this short sitting. The first day here, Fred took us up on a trail and we saw porcupine, moose, rabbit, and gorgeous view including Campbell Creek. The next evening we saw Bald Eagle and Salmon (and some trout) along with other wildlife at Potter Marsh. Yesterday we fished for Salmon all day at Hope. We have had such a blast and I don't have time to mention all we have seen/done. In an hour we are off to Seward for the day and to camp. Home tomorrow. Waah! Ahh, but we do miss the cats!

Word(s) of the day: PINK SALMON

Lexie log: She is having a blast! There have been some rough spots, the plane included, but overall, she is a great travel companion. She has been holding some grudges against Grammy and Grampa for disapearing for three weeks, but those are subsiding (just in time for us to not see them for a couple more weeks). She loves Hatcher, who wouldn't? Hatcher is a mix between a Great Dane and a Huskie/Australian Shepard. Huge, beautiful dog with stunning blue eyes. Lexie has also become obsessed with Fred and Barbara's trampolene. She's very fond of Fred and Barbara also.

Today I'm grateful for Frank and Lexie, and everything.
