It's the most wonderful time...Of the year...

Three day review:  Friday, panic attack.  Have only had three in my life, including this one, and the first one sent me to the hospital ER.  This one went a lot smoother since I figured out early on that that was what it was.  Half a Xanax later, I was functioning at semi-normal.  Saturday, slept in until 10:00am, took Thumper for his booster shots, and then got Thumper and Lexie’s picture taken with Santa at PetSmart.  Swimming at 6:00pm was awesome as usual.  Sunday, up at 8:00am, swim lesson at 11:30am, Chuck E Cheese at 3:00pm.  From here on out, we only go to Chuck E. Cheese for dinner and play…No more parties.  I didn’t feel like I could even pay attention to Lexie and have fun with her.  People constantly asking questions, I made the mistake of thinking I could video tape it, and it was noisy and claustrophobic.  Massive chaos.  Thank God Lexie had a blast.

Today when I got to work it was barely 55 degrees.  Another weekend when the boiler failed to startup.  It’s nice and warm in here now though.

Word(s) of the day:  SPECTACLED

Lexie log:  She did super in her swim class.  Grammy and Grandpa sat in and watched too.  She practiced the U-turn off the wall Saturday night, but when the intern instructor had her do it, she instinctively started to swim out where teacher AJ was.  She is a little infatuated with him and this other guy is so darned quiet, she doesn’t pay much attention to him.  They also spent time learning to swim with life jackets and safety.  She slept for about five minutes on the way home, and then after she saw a birthday present, she wouldn’t cooperate with anyone.  She was too excited.  Even though she hadn’t eaten, she refused to eat the breakfast Daddy made her.  She refused to take a bath and was sent to her room where she immediately fell asleep.  Then she woke up within ten minutes and was a little more agreeable.  I don’t even know where to begin with how much fun she had at the party.  It’s a shame she wasn’t fully rested, but she still had a blast.  She ate a slice of pizza, blew out her candles, had a slice of cake, opened presents, and then the fun really began.  She rode the mini-carousel and a few others, then found the human habitrail with the super covered spiral slide, and that was that!  She went around and around and around.  She had the time of her life.  We’ll go back just for that.

Today I’m grateful for Frank and Lexie, Lexie’s happiness, Mom and Dad, weekends, zoolights, and life.
