Oh well I never, was there ever, a cat so clever as Magical Mr. Mistoffelees

Today's blog is dedicated to cats, specifically Emma Molly Mouse. Mouse passed away yesterday. She was Aunt Chris' wonderful Siamese. Mouse lived many wonderful years.

Uncle Steve, Sally, Scott, and David all took me to see Cats on Broadway in 1996 when they treated me to a visit to their New Jersey home.

Here at work it is Dawn's last day. She is a coder who is leaving for a different coding job at a larger office with more specialists. Good luck Dawn! Jan, who is replacing her, is a witty, spitfire, who I'm sure will fit in perfectly here.

Word(s) of the day: VIBRISSAE

Lexie log: Lexie knows more of cats than she does of children her age right now. I'm sure this will change as soon as she goes to pre-school, but she lives with five. I also grew up as an only child with six cats. Lexie, hopefully, will also have a sibling some day down the road. -- Lexie would not let me go to bed last night. She is such a joy to be with (minus tantrum) that it is so hard for me to not stay up and have playtime on the living room couch. I do pay for it the next day however, and all I wish to do right now is to go home and take a nap. This is the reasons I love weekends so much. I get to spend the whole day with her and not stay awake till the wee hours of the morning. Even though she stayed up so late, Daddy told me she got up at 9:00. Not too bad. -- She doesn't like pickles, having her hair brushed, being taken out of the tub, too much input after waking from a nap sends her over the edge, and she puts up a heck of a fight to avoid sleep. She loves to dance and sing, and she pretty much knows the words to Twinkle twinkle little star. She will go out of her way for even the slightest puddle. She loves the rain, flowers, clouds, pink puppy, baths, chocolate milk, ducks, blocks, pasta, pillow fights, laughing, cats, dogs, birds, twirling her hair while she drinks milk, hide and seek, Teletubbies, nursery rhymes, going anywhere with Momma and Daddy, her grandparents, bugs, jumping on the bed and sofa, animated musical movies, running, spinning, swinging, getting dizzy, making funny noises and faces with Momma and Daddy, Sponge Bob, Clifford, climbing things, and life.

Today I'm grateful for Frank and Lexie, Cats, family, DP, mirrors, Oregon weather, and weekends.
